Good low fat recipes

Yesterday was a great day!  I  made a couple of new recipes.  The low fat cheeseburger pie was pretty good.  The next time I make it, I will put some spicier seasoning in with the meat.  It was just a little bland for my taste.  My family liked it, though.  The low fat cheesecake was even better than I thought it would be.  Very tasty!  I don’t usually buy the low fat, no sugar added, sugar substitute ingredients.  I have always gone for the ‘real thing’.  “…Ain’t nothing like the real thing, baby,…”  You know, the song!?

Guitar Hero

On Christmas day our family began the Guitar Hero habit.  If we can spare 30 minutes at the end of the day, the GET band rocks the house!!!  My husband came up with our band’s name, using each of our first name’s initials.  I LOVE the drums.  My husband and son choose who will be lead guitar.  Since Christmas, I have moved  up a couple of levels to the medium difficulty setting on most songs.  My favorites are Heartbreaker, American Woman, No Sleep Til Brooklyn, and Strangehold.    It is very challenging, trying to get the notes right and in rhythm.  It is so fun, I want to go out and buy a real set of drums!

Goals and Deadlines

I have joined a great site for tracking goals

It has been a while since I’ve posted.  I’ve spent my computer time reading other people’s blogs.  Also, I have joined SparkPeople.  It is a great place to journal your way to fitness.  You can see my page here.  I haven’t worked very much with my page.  I go to this site mostly to track my nutrition or fitness.  The recipes look very good, too.  I plan to make the Lowfat Cheeseburger Pie and the No Bake Graham Cracker Cheesycake from there.  There are a lot of good ratings on those two recipes, so I plan to give them a try.

I am working toward balance

I will let you in on a secret.  I love organization and balance.  However, I am not very organized OR balanced.   This brings me a lot of anxiety.  I feel like I am going in circles, accomplishing nothing.  I like to make out lists.  I get so happy when I finish.  Besides making lists, I like to time myself.  This is something I do in order to get things done.  Does anyone have an idea what my problem is?  Feel free in your comments.  I am open to your opinions.  I think I have a problem with deadlines.  Does anybody have the same problem, and if you do, how do you deal with it?

Peanut Butter Fudge-Finally!!!!!

I don’t know how many times in the last 17 years I have tried to make a batch of peanut butter fudge.  It is very important to me to make this for my husband.  It is his favorite desert of all time.  He might get some homemade peanut butter fudge at Christmas from a friend, but he’s never got any from me.  My concoctions have varied– from peanut butter syrup to peanut butter ice cream topping to peanut butter with sugar crystals.  Never peanut butter fudge!

Until now!  Yeah!!!!!!!!  This is a great day!  I can’t wait until my husband comes home from work.  Yesterday was a bad day for him, so I hope to lift his spirits tonight.  He won’t believe it.
